Welcome back, Alumni!

A warm welcome back to the College. Selwyn's tradition of nurturing relationships with its alumni is central to our unique spirit as a community of scholars, young and old. We're delighted that you've called on your website.

We have compiled a list of notable alumni on the ‘People’ section of our website.  Please check that out and let us know if you have any suggestions for expanding the list.

Whitehead Redevelopment

A $4M refurbishment of the College's flagship Whitehead building was completed between November 2014 and February 2015.  Whilst significant seismic strengthening was undertaken (to 100% NBS), the work also included smart new bedroom fitout throughout and the incorporation of additional dormer rooms overlooking the Quad into the ceiling space.  We are thrilled with the outcome and believe that the refurbished rooms may provide an additional incentive for alumni to host reunions at the College over the summer break.

Alumni Questionnaire

The College is interested in reconnecting with alumni. Click here to download a questionnaire (PDF), which you can post or email back.

After Dinner Addresses

Selwyn has established a series of addresses by visiting speakers, which are delivered after our Sunday Formal Dinners. Nothing so challenges and inspires residents as seeing a Selwynite speak of the diverse joys and rewards that the seeds of hard work can reap. The addresses are short (no more than 10 minutes) and are followed by an informal after-dinner question and answer session.  If you would like to nominate someone we might approach to make an address, please contact us.

Alumni Blog

We are interested in hearing from alumni who would be willing to post a piece on our Alumni Blog page. A short paragraph saying when you were at the College, some fond but publishable memories of your time here, what you’ve done since, and, with the benefit of hindsight, what your Selwyn experience now means to you, would be most welcome.  Submit your blog here.
