Selwyn College offers facilities for conferences, seminars, day meetings and workshops.
Facilities are suited to small groups. Three distinct spaces available for use and include the
Northcroft Library/Seminar Room, CATS Common Room and the Senior Common Room.
Experienced staff are on hand to ensure that all your needs are met so as to maximise the success of your seminar/conference programme or day meeting/workshop.
Room hire rates include the use of necessary equipment. Please feel free to visit Selwyn College and view our available facilities.
In addition to function and dining rooms, on-site guest facilities include:
Catering can be provided for any event whether it be for example tea and coffee, a fully catered meal service or a formal conference dinner.
Taxi and shuttle services are available outside the main entrance and buses from the side entrance on Dundas Street. A limited amount of free parking is available on-site. Alternatively, parking is available on nearby Dundas Street
Outside of the residential calendar, Selwyn College can cater for conferences, functions and special events such as annual dinners for societies; fundraising dinners for clubs; conference banquets; corporate evenings; birthdays; weddings; gala dinners; cocktail parties; and graduation teas.

We are always keen to hear from Selwynites of all generations, and encourage alumni to organise reunions at the College. The Warden is enthusiastic about hosting year-group functions at the College.
Selwyn College offers guest accommodation during the summer break from mid-November to mid-February. The College can accommodate up to 150 guests.
Visitors will appreciate the quiet environment as well as easy access to transport, shops and scenic walks.

Selwyn College welcomes the presence of visiting academics to its collegiate learning environment. We provide on-campus, affordable accommodation for academics visiting the University of Otago, catering for medium-to long term stays.

George Street provides a wonderful array of restaurants and cafes, all only a few minutes' walk from the College and University campus. The local Meridian Shopping Centre offers a variety of shops and convenience stores, and the National Bank and BNZ Bank are located nearby. ATMs are available on campus at the Student Union and the New World Supermarket and liquor outlets are all handy.
