Selwyn College is keen to attract enthusiastic and talented students who are committed to achieving academic excellence and participating fully in college life. Selwyn College also strives to develop leaders that intend to make a difference for good in the world.
Each year the College admits a number of returners whose contribution is invaluable to the College. The number of places available varies from year to year, but residents wishing to return will receive information about returners' applications at the beginning of the second semester. Selection criteria will encompass academic results (heavily weighted), participation in school or community activities, demonstrated leadership ability and sound character references.
Whilst enquiries regarding admissions may be made at any time, formal admissions for places in 2019 will open 1 August 2018 and close 30 September 2018.
All formal applications need to be made through the University’s Accommodation Office listing Selwyn College as your first preference.
A small number of places may become available for the second semester 2018 as some of our residents accept scholarships to study at universities in the United States where the academic year begins in August/September.
The 2018 Members Handbook provides further information and outlines College regulations. You can access this by clicking here.
