Jean Allibone

Academic, Arts, Sports and Cultural Manager

Jean joined the Selwyn team at the start of 2026 as the Academic, Arts, Culturals and Sports Manager. She is married to Rich and lives offsite. She is a mum of three adult human children and five fur babies.

She has been involved with education for a large number of years. She is passionate about the opportunities that academics and other activities give to students to develop into the fine young people they become.

She is always keen for a chat and organising lots of fun things for residents to do.

Outside of work Jean loves to walk, do water sports, baking and crafting.

As the Academic, Sports and Cultural Manager, Jean works alongside the Tautiaki (Warden) to nurture and support tauira to explore their potential in a safe and inclusive environment.
